Ordinary Man
1986 — FIEND 82 LP
I have three versions of this album. The original release (WEA 0706) contains "The Never Came Home", a song about a fire at the Stardust nightclub. The song was pulled due to a threatened lawsuit—apparently, because of the reference to padlocked fire exits. The Stardust Song was replaced with "Another Song is Born" on all subsequent releases. I purchased two versions of this album (one in Dublin—0763 and one in Belfast—0706) within days of each other. The version I have of the altered release (WEA 0763) has stickers (listing the new song) over the track listing on the back cover and the lyric sheet insert. The third version (left) appears to be an English release on the "Demon" label. The album cover and back are completely different from the above "WEA" releases, but the inside record sleeve is of the same design as the previous records.
