…Balladeers Notes

This "12-song suite" was written by Ian Campbell about "the different crisis points in a woman's life". Oddily enough, these same twelve songs were recorded (in the same order) twice by Lorna, with different musicians. The first recording was made in Birmingham, and these sessions were released on vinyl in 1976 (above) — then re-recorded in 1977 & 1978 in Denmark and released on CD in 2000 (below).
